System seems to be running a little slow

    My system seems to running a little slow. any suggestions on how to speed it back up? I have Win XP Pro 40gb of mermory and a gig ram.

    defragment your drive, uninstall unused or unwanted programs, run virus/spyware scans to clean any malware, clean your registry...

    Assuming u have all ready done virus and spyware scans...u should download this prgram called Free Ram Xp Pro it frees up all the ram that your not useing. And you should also chage your virtual memory to a higher level which turns drive space into ram. To do that u need to right click on my compuer and go to properties, click on the advance tab, there should be three things there you want performance setting, then the advance tab again, then change near the bottom. I usealy set mine to 2000MB - 3000MB, and remeber what you set here take space from your hard drive. This alway speeds up the computer and little thing like use firefox will help.
