the hdd on my flashed box is full so i got a newly formatted one. the system update info was stored on the other hard drive so it asking for an update when i connect with the new one. do i need to reflash to get the update on the new hdd?
It's always important to keep your key incase needed when getting update like this. I did not have to flash again. My modded 360 was flashed to original and updated, then flashed to 1.9 using a ms memory card. Afterwards I decided to get a hdd and had to update again, It just updated the dashboard, did not touch the drive the second time around. This of-course is all up to you. I did it this way with no problems.
i just put it into an unflashed box and and updated it that way because i was unsure. it took about 2 hours, maybe its their server but that update unbelievably slow.
