I’m trying to concert a file from .avi to mpeg2 for a SVCD with t-mepg but it gets 8 seconds in and the sound stops anyone know what might be happening? thanks Phil
Download Gspot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ Load the avi into it and it will tell you all about the video codec (xvid,Divx etc) the frame rate (important for correct audio sync) & the audio track etc. Its a must for converting avi's.
Open that avi file in virtualdub and do the following. 1. click video - direct stream copy. 2. click audio - full processing mode. 3. click audio - compression, select no compression pcm and click ok 4. click file - save avi Now use the avi file saved with TMPGEnc. The audio will now be uncompressed so TMPGEnc shouldnt have a problem with it!
The audio is slightly out of time with the video on the SVCD I've got any recommendations for a program to edit it?
Does it just gradually go out of sync or does something happen like u hit a corrupt frame?? Make a backup copy of it and then run it through divfix or avifixed and see does it make a difference!
its just out of time from the start when im playing on media player it keeps dropping frames to keep in time
ok didnt want to know the name of the movie so could you do the site a favour and edit it out please?? Anyway, thats a re-encode of a proper release which means the problems you described would be expected! sorry!
