    Burned on these manufacturer's printable discs (Taiyo yuden 16x DVD+R, Verbatim advanced Azo photo printable DVD+R 16x, Ritek G05 x8).

    Taiyo Yuden got a 98 score on Nero, Verbatim got a 99, Ritek 98.

    Great Scans, then I ran them through my inkjet printer and re-scanned with nero.

    Taiyo Yuden = 94
    verbatim = 95
    Ritek = 88

    I repeated this with several discs from the same manufacturer and the results remain constant.

    Printing does seem to effect the disc quality.

    I'm seriously thinking of ditching the printables for plain media.

    *Its only in the last few months I've bothered with printables after getting a disc printer

    I tested a Verbatim printable I did in July of 2005, and it tested at 98. Then I tested a couple I did in June and one tested a 97 and one a 98. Not a significant enough drop (if any?) for me to quit. Has anyone else done any testing?

    No significant drop in quality on my printables, either.

    I'd be more curious of jitter differences over PIF Failure or ECC error rates when it comes to printables. The quality score of Nero's CD-DVD Speed Testing is solely based on ECC.

    Is there a jitter difference between unprinted and printed media?
