Multo apologetica for any replication in thread content here, but I always had and have great success with yuden media for music cds, mp3 cds and ps1; can't find better but I'd like to furnish myself with a loada taiyo yuden dvdr disks either plus or minus - no matter. Do they make them with their own name on 'em; or do they sell them to other manufacturers who then brand them with their own name? I can't find them anywhere. To be able to but them online would be good. Thanks.

You don't say what country your from Hectar,
Here in Europe, the only 2 guaranteed Taiyo Yuden Manufactured discs are Plextor & Verbatim Pastel-coloured discs. North America & Elsewhere is a bit more harder to guarantee that it's 100% TY's.

In Canada I found some Aterra discs that are on sale at Compusmart and Compucenter. The identification code on them shows they are Taiyo Yuden but they have a purple colour to them and are 4X discs. The code is TYG01

ty (cdr) disks were always favoured by aficiandoes of the PS1 back up -; is this true also of their dvd range (for PS2)?

In U.S., Fuji 4x DVD-R (if it says "made in Japan" on the packaging) is Taiyo Yuden.
