    What are the specs of the computer set up that you are using?

    Hi EDDIE1652,
    Welcome to Afterdawn!
    An hour and a half is too long, Obviously you are not burning at 16X which is just 4 or 5 minutes. I would suggest though that you set the burn speed slower than that.
    A good rule of thumb is to set the burn speed to no faster than 1/2 the speed listed on the media. I burn at 4X using Taiyo Yuden 8X -R media.

    There are quite a few things that can cause this so if you could post a Nero log file that would help. Nero saves a log file after every burn.

    If you are using Nero 6 look in
    C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log

    If you are using Nero 7 look in
    C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.log

    What we wil be looking for here is Firmware Version for your burner, DMA enabled or not, media brand and type, conflicting drivers, and anything else that looks odd.

    FYI the start of a Nero log looks similar to this:
    1C82-your-nero-seri-al n-umbe-erA8 [bold]<<<Leave out your S/N[/bold]

    Windows XP 5.1
    IA32
    WinAspi: -
    ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 11/2/2004 12:54:32 PM

    NT-SPTI used
    Nero Version: 7.0.1.4
    Internal Version: 7, 0, 1, 4

    Recorder: <PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D>Version: 1.39 - HA 1 TA 3 - 7.0.1.4
    Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1
    Drive buffer : 2000kB
    Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ?
    CD-ROM: <JLMS XJ-HD166S >Version: DS1E - HA 1 TA 0 - 7.0.1.4
    Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1

    === Scsi-Device-Map ===

    The rest of the log follows, usually a few hundred lines, post the entire thing except your Nero Serial number.
