hi, iv got a starview 1 (clone) for about 8 months now, it came with v4.00 firmware on it which kind of puzzled me as i had read so much how this firmware would kill clones. anyhow i never had any problems with it until recently like everybody else (ie. having to put in the codes manually) which is really annoying. can anyone explain to me how d v4.00 firmware worked on the box as its def a clone?

having listened to all the advise from the guys who really seem to know their stuff i have decided to flash the cloned starview with the latest new firmware and see what happens. i know its a gamble and it could possibly kill the box but id rather take the chance and but a new genuine box if all fails.

is there anyway the box could be genuine even though it has the appearance of a clone? i ask this as like i said it came with v4.00 already on it.
