yes but the san andreas i had got broken and my mom wont buy it again so i was just gonna bittorrent download it but the only on i found was a 3.9 gb dvd game iso and my computer can't read dvd-r cds so i wouldnt be able to burn it

I just thought I would add this. But since he owns a legit copy of the game. Isnt he entitled to download a copy if anything happens to his? Thats not piracy. Its his rights.
No, downloading it would be illgal PeaInAPod, backing it up (copying it) is not, but to do that he must legally own the game first
i was always under the impression that downloading a copy of something you own is a-o-k. And like i said i just figured it was okay for him to download considering he does own the game. but anyway he got it worked out so whats the point right?
