Hi! So I have just recently bought an 80GB iPod Classic and I am trying to transfer photo's accross from iTunes to my iPod. It took overnight (8+ hours) to transfer 260 photos onto my iPod, even when I had already resized the images to a resolution of 400 x 500 and all of them were in JPEG format (the correct format for an iPod). Now please tell me if I'm wrong but I used to have an iPod Nano and it never use to take that long to put photos on there, it use to take about 5 mins. Can someone please tell me whats wrong or how I can fix it? What I actually posted for was to see if anyone can tell me the name of another program besides iTunes that will put my images onto my iPod Classic. Please do not give me Tansee or Anapod iPod Explorer as neither or them work with my iPod Classic (no, they dont. I've even tried). So if you know anything, please post back, I will check frequently. Thanks in advance!
how new is your ipod, what firmware is install in it. i dont know what set up you got, i have a 5 gen ipod video and it takes about 40 seconds to sync the photos to the ipod, look the way i set my pic folder.
I have the newest, 6th generation iPod Classic 80GB. A new firmware update has just been released (this is what it is saying in i tunes) so I will install that and try again. i also have about 800 photos so it is quite a bit more than the amount you have. I have the latest i tunes, v7.5 legit from the apple website so I don't know what could be going on. Why cant it just work?!?! Here i go again, will post in the results, any help is much appreciated...
For the new classics, not sure, you gotta check but make sure they are design for the classic, you dont want to brick you player.
