Ok, I have JVC camcorder. I am not sure of the modle #, anywho, I have a bunch of videos recorded on the tapes. However, I would like to transfer them to my computer. How would I go about doing this? Like my camcorder has a USB port and stuff, but what programme do I need? I also can hook it up to my T.V. and I have a T.V out card on my PC so is there anyway to utilize that? thanks for the help

You need video in>http://www.newegg.com has several cards reasonablly priced that are easy to install>I have a compro gold been using for over a year it does a great job for a cheap price.Or if you dont want to go internal one can get usb support also they cost a little more.
Alot people are afraid to tackle internal cards but a easy route to install a pci card if one knows not much is just take the side panel off and just find one of the empty pci card slots and install it with out doing the wiring to the switch this is used only if one needs to set the card on a timer to record a movie but if you are just converting from vhs it does not need a timer.
