i copyed a tape to my hd.(i pressed play on my cassette player then press record on a sound recorer)but it is awful low when you put it on a cd. is there any software that can give it bass?
When you burn as an audio cd with nero, it gives you an EQ option, ( and so do most decent sound editing programs) if the higer frequencies are in the middle, to give it bass i would try to make it look like a smiley face. meaning putting the high frequencies low and putting the other ones higher if you get what im saying. Also most have an option for volume it you want to change that too. GooD Luck
The reason you are having trouble with volume is because the audio needs to be passed through a pre-amp. For example hook you cassete player to a pre-amp or a stereo (works either way) and then from the pre-amp (or) stereo to your PC's line in port. This should give you better volume. Im not sure about a actaul pre-amp but im sure if you chose to go the route of the stereo you can adjust the Bass and Treble directly from it. You may also want to check your software for any volume related options.
