tape?

    So I was told that there was a spot on a copyrighted vhs that you could put tape over and be able to record it onto dvd,,is this true? and if so where is this magical spot. spanx to all who help me out!!xxxx

    You need a magic box.. My boss in the shop is getting one for somebody this week.. I'll get details of it if I can and post back with them.

    If you can get your hands on one of the old 'Video Stabilizers' that were made by Optex so you could dub VHS tapes years ago, then you run the video in to the stabilizer and through to the recorder.It removes the Macrovision which is on a lot of tapes.
    They still make them but now they have fancier names.

    Just placed an order for this device...HAUPPAUGE 1020 WINTV-USB2, they say it deals well with macrovision
