can someone pls explain what system idle process is on the task manager?? i have opened it up,and although cpu usage is low,on the processes tab,the system idle process is showing a figure of 90-95 on the CPU table, memory usage is 16k,so its not doind anything, but i ma curious in what the cpu figure is? regards
Hi, nothing to worry about. It is basically an indication of how much of your CPU is idle so other processes can eat into it as such. If you check that and then check the performance tab, the cpu usage there should be the remainder....ie system idle process 97....cpu usage 3%. Hope that helps. Cheers
has anyone got a link explaining, what certain abbrevation's are in the task manager, i havent a clue what most of them are,and whether thet are supposed to be running
