I am in desperate need of help with creating backups onto the above media. I am using an internal HP DVD Writer 630c and have had no trouble with it in the past. At first the media was not recognised at all so I updated the firmware and now the media is recognised but no matter what program I use (Alcohol 120%, DVD Decrypter or Nero 7), I can not burn any of my created ISOs onto the dvds and simply recieve a write error. I have gone through the previous threads on this forum and have had no luck. I would have expected that there would have been no problems with TDK media as I have successfully created backups onto Verbatim and Mirror Platinum in the past.

What does DVD Decryptor say about the media ID (TTG02 ?)
May not be a media problem. I have bought this media at Costco on many occasions and have only had a few intermittant problems. It isn't the greatest, but not of terrible quality.
Close all other programs while trying to burn (even Anti-virus and the like), Defrag HD ETC

SlimHiggy, I have an HP drive, too and haven't been able to use TDK media at all. I have tried DVD+R, DVD-R and DVD+RW from TDK (made in Japan) with no luck. I have no problems with media from Sony, Maxell, TY, and some labeled Value Discs, they're green and from Office Depot or Office Max? ANyway, I also have had big trouble with Fujifilm brand both made in Taiwan and Japan. So, I have it in my mind that it is a media vs. drive compatibility issue. I hope this helps you.

Sorry if the information was a little misleading because I have found out that I can successfully backup movies but the only thing I cannot backup is an xbox game and the error I recieve is I/O error but I suppose that could be for a number of reasons unrelated to the media. Thanks for the quick replies anyhows.
