Hello everyone. Here's a brief background to my question. I started a new job (working for a little mom and pop bus line) And they have an old Emachine T2341 with a 128MB memory stick in it. They told me that they would like to upgrade to more and i sid Id look into it. Now 1st thing in the morning I'm going to state surplus and buy some used comp stuff (eg: i got a 21" gateway monitor or $1), and i was wondering if there is any way to tell what type of memory stick is in a comp just by looking at it?
The T2341 should have come standard with 128MB of PC2100 memory. You should be able to get this fairly cheap via Ebay or something. I would just replace the 128 with a 512 and call it a day. If you need to ID the memory, the speed should be printed on the manufactures sticker that is affixed to the memory. ~Rich
