    Hello to you all

I have a question on temperature. I have an Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard and Pentium 4 3Ghz processor. The temps I have are case 39C and CPU goes up to 50C when in use and the room temperature is 29C.
When the CPU is idle it is 40C to 45C and the case is 37C. My question is in this extreme weather we are having does anyone know if the temps I have are below or above normal?
I am interested in tepmerature control on computers and would like to know if anyone has any idea of what a normal temperature is.

    Thanks for the reply
Can you recommend a descent fan for lower temps? The case I have is a Lian Li P60 plus.

Try cleaning your case out of dust!

    Always helps!

I clean the inside every 6 months. The pc is 12 months old. The case fans I have altogethe are four case fans, one in the front, one for the top to cool motherboard, two at the back. The PSU has two fans one on each end.
I suspect this might cause a problem as the back of the PSU has a fan that I think is blowing warm air into the case. The case is designed to cool everything inside and I think the temps are a little high for the amount of fans it has.
Would anyone know what temps I could use as a guide?

Well for a normal unoverclocked chip its around 30 - 35 idle. and around 40ish under load.

    IMO anyway!

But if your not experiencing crashes hanging then your ok really!
