Is it safe to delete all the shits inside that folder? And how do I do that? Everytime when I go inside that folder, it freeezes. (Sorry about all my dummy questions)
To empty your Temp Int folder, open up the Control Panel. Click on Network and Internet Connections (Category view) or Internet Options in Classic view. Open up Internet Options. Center section, click on Delete Files. You can also do this in Internet Explorer. Tools, Internet Options.
or click "start" 'all programs' > accessories > systems tools > disk cleanup oh yeah, its safe to delete whats inside the folder, but not the folder itself( i think it won't let you but you can try lol)
here's a nice and free onelavasoft) http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10399602.html?tag=lst-0-6
Try theese: http://www.ccleaner.com http://www.majorgeeks.com/ATF_Cleaner_d4949.html Never worry about temp files aggain
Also, it is good to clean up your INDEX.DAT files. Try this software out: http://ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp get the non-yahoo toolbar version.
!!!HELPFUL WARNING!!! Cleaning utilities such as CleanUp, or CCleaner, can delete index.dat files instead of removing their contents. This can cause issues with programs, especially the MS System Information tool aka msinfo32.exe. You'll know you have that issue if you go to Start, run and type in msinfo32 and the Help and Support program opens instead. To keep this from happening, you're going to have to back up the index.dat file from this folder: C:\Windows\pchealth\helpctr\Offlinecache Now, in order for your cleaning utilities to miss the file, simply back it up to your desktop and rename the extension to say .da0 Programs like RegSeeker will clean out your history and index.dat file entries without deleting the files.
Wow. Sounds confusing. Well, best to uninstall it. Don't wanna harm my baby (Computer) Thanks, Morph! Owe you
No need to uninstall it, it's just one of those things that the software developers don't mention to those that use it, either because they are unaware it does that...or they just skip out on it. It's happened to me, and it took a couple of gurus I know to help me find the solution. It wasn't CCleaner that did it to me, it was the DOS command line to remove index.dat files in safe mode that did it.
Hello,I've got the same problem;instead of msinfo I get Help And Support, and yes I use CCleaner. On another website I read the pchealth DAT file should be 79KB,mine is 67KB.Is there a way to check if the file is stopping msinfo opening? Thanks in advance
Unfortunately, once the file has been altered, the only way to replace it is from another system...or a system restore.
Thanks, since I posted that, a hardware custom update from the Windows update site caused a prob, and then I made it much worse,so think I'll do a clean install yet again.Good job I've already got loads of stuff backed up on disks
