I have been manually entering keys for bev and dish, but I keep reading about bin 145, 146, 147, I know that these files have to be used with a pro loader and to plug your receiver into the pc. If I continue to SIMPLY enter the keys, is this okay? I do not understand the significance of bin numbers. For example, downloading bin 147 and manually entering the keys, is this the same procedure (as the pc will take the bin and enter the same keys but faster and the other way is manual but slower)?
If I download bin 147, will this prevent having to enter these keys so much?
I am just trying to figure all this out for my DAD.......thanks to whoever can reply and explain this.....

Loading bin 147 is needed. It fixes autoroll.

These bin files fix your autoroll which will decode the encrypted signal from the satellite and grabs the code for you. Autoroll then automatically enters the new codes for you whenever they are changed.
The reason for the new bins is because the autoroll isn't decoding the encryption properly anymore. Therefor you have to turn it off and manually enter the codes until and new bin is released fixing the autoroll issue.

I'd just like to learn how to figure out myself how to modify these bin files to correct the problem.

It's like the encryption code puzzles you would find in the newspaper of other places. It all a puzzle and you need to figure out the translatiion of the code to come up wwith the correct codeing.

Fun stuff if you have the patience. LOL
