I feel that if i pay 500 dollars for a video game console, i should be able to play every game with no FPS problems. however periodically throughout las vegas 2, i experienced fps drops when a lot of action was going on. Especially the last level, with the helicopter, that whole level felt like i was playing max payne with bullet time on. Everything was slow and choppy, absolute BS! Did anyone else experience this? or am I going to have to send my xbox back, for the 6th time.

it was fine for me, and it so either your eyes suck, or your console sucks.

If theres a frame rate issue, it's the game, not the console. If it was your console, it'd do the same thing all the time and for every game.

Well thats a bit of a lie, some of the developers push the games too far for what the system can handle, or if they are poorly optimized. Not to say thats the reason in this case, but it has been in many others. I fear GTAIV will be the next game to suffer this.

Exactly. And if the devs do that, that means the problems lie within the game, not the console, which is what I said.

The devs know what the limits are for the 360 which they must stay within. If they push the limits too far, they are creating the problem.

So, it's the game, not the console.

Now, a console may have a dirty or failing laser which may affect the game. But if that's so, then the problems would be evident with other games also, not just R6V2, which is also what I said.

I played on co-op with my firend.

I believe this game was rushed to market without polishing. It's plagued with horrible frame rate issues, really stupid and unrealistic AI with x-ray vision, random squad commands at times...

It's ubisoft and Rainbow Six, i guess IGN has to give it at least 8.0 no matter how bad it is.

i must have a good copy of it then, bc ive played through the story mode 3 times now, and countless hours on live and havent had a single problem with frame rates, squad commands or anything like that at all.

Game works great for me. Aside a few little glitches when maps load online the game is pretty damn good

I play this game pretty much on a daily basis and i have not seen any problems. Not sure what everyone is complaining about. It is a great game and they did a great job with it. The AI is much smarter then they were in the first game, they are not meant to be like playing another human.

True. I don't expect the AI to be another human, but they are far from the AI of FEAR and some other notable games. And AI with x-ray vision is unacceptable.

You mean the AI with thermal vision? That one did throw me for a loop the first time i layed down a smoke screen and they ran right through it and shot me. But in a war you could expect the enemy to have some of the same equipment. FEAR was a great game and i loved playing that one on my PC, but i think the AI in R6V is far better. In fear when you entered an area and alerted them (you know the famous music would start and you knew it was killin' time) they would mostly just run out at you. In R6V2 they will duck and cover, find sniper positions and flank you regularly. No to mention lay down grenades and flashbangs a lot.

But of course this is only one man's opinion. I have played a ton of FPS games that were great but none of them have really kept my attention like the Rainbow Six series other then Half-Life which was my first FPS love.
