    Hey you guys

I'm hoping someone out there can help me. You see i'm kinda new to this and now i'm stuck. My pc that i have had a problem. When i logged into windows it only stays on a couple of seconds and then it restarted. Then what I did was as soon as it started I tried open the task manager and look at the processes being run at startup.

At first my task manager was disabled but I started my pc in safe mode and ran a deep virus scan and that sorted out the disabled task manager but not the restart problem.

When I opened the task manager I saw an process run that was called test12.exe

I didn't know where it came from and stopped the process and my pc stayed on. Then I ran a search on my computer and saw that there was a test12.exe file in C:\WINDOWS\system32

Is this test12 file really my problem or did I mess things up when I stopped the proses.

Thanks in advance for any sugestions. I really hope someone can help me with

the only way to find out is if you do a full system scan for viruses (make sure you anti virus software is up to date). sometimes the virus disguises itself as other file types i.e .gif, .html,etc. If your virus scanner detects the files but cant delete them then you have to manually delete the files. just make sure you boot your computer in 'safe mode' first. If they still wont go away, Then do a destructive system restore. ##WARNING## - Doing a destructive system restore deletes everything in your hard drive and re-installs only the files your computer first came with when you first bought it. In other words youll lose all personal files. If a system restore is not an option then do some research on the file and on how to stop it.
