Hi all, does anyone have any eperience with the itgate TGM220? If anyone does have one and could provide a little review that would be great. I find information lacking on what seems to be an awesome box.
normally i couldnt agree more and google is my first and usually last stop but i cant find much info on the tgm220 apart from the makers website and the satkings site who sell it in the uk. i am looking for an independant review or comparison with other boxes.
Quite hard to do as they have only recently been released onto the UK market place, although they have been used in other countries, but you need a review to reflect the location you wish to use it in. Wont be long before independent reviews become available for both the UK & Ireland as quite a few people have bought one now.
its a complicated world, i have my options between the dream box and the tgm220 perhaps i shall be brave and take the plunge
oh yes and as the sat kings chaps are the Uk sellers of the box any reviews/comments will be a bit once sided
i cant edit last post..dunno why BUT when i said "the box" i didnt actually mean the starview/thebox damn silly auto linking thing.
I was speaking of their members comments who have bought the Itgate. They are individuals and not resellers so their comments should be quite valid. If you want to edit any post you make go to this at the top right of any of your posts and click it to edit.
Only similarity between the two boxes is that they are both quality linux boxes . 600 takes an internal 2.5 hard drive ( which adds to expense ) the Itgate TGM220 has a USB port and can run both 3.5 and 2.5 hard drives. Both come with a two year manufacturers warranty on hardware. Itgate has better picture and sound quality and better EPG.This in no way is a slight on 600 as its a really good box too . Itgate tgm220 is £159 plus delivery anmd Dreambox 600c £199 plus delivery . Given issues surrounding non linux boxes both are much more future proof and will give years of great service .
Have you actually tried these side by side mate, or do you have both of these? Also is the direct recording to pc as good as the DM600's supposed to be?
