hey guys. On my softmodded xbox, I had to delete some files to fit Halo on the HD. i don't know what happened, but everytime I turn on the xbox, The MS dashbaord pops up, but the red light on th xbox is still on, which means its still modded. When I load up SID4,It says it can't find the MS files, but they are there because the ms dashboard turns on. It wont let me install Evox, but its on the harddrive. Nothing is missing that I know of. What do I need to do?Thanks for listening guys
Big mistake. The "files" were obviously files of importance. Try re-installing the msdash board using AID 3 disc, or if it's on the SID 3 menu, re-install it from there, then try re-installing softmod. If you're like me and use Xbox Live, then I don't know what to reccomend, other than backing up your live account. Otherwise you may have to re-install msdash, re-install softmod, uninstall softmod, use Live account retrieval, then re-install softmod. -Mike
I dont think I deleted anything vital. I think I figured out what the problem was. Everything is fine, its just that the xbox boots up The MS dash instead of evox. How do I make the xbox only run evox? I can get to the evox menu from SID, but it just takes too long.
You must have installed the softmod by - Dual boot or something like that. Try re-installing softmod under single boot, and if you use xbox live, then dont do this! -Mike
