Why is there no Ashes thread?!

First test at Cardiff was a draw; second at Lords, England are off to a good start having won the toss and choosing to bat.

No "cricket is boring" esque comments please, or I will ninja your ass!

I suppose the Yanks amongst us won't watch a lot of cricket, but still.

    COME ON ENGLAND!

Only in a straightjacket with toothpicks propping the eyeballs open.
Most would opt for waterboarding to ease the horror.

May I just add, Australia will win... like always. Australia should of won the first test, we were winning the entire game... if only we still had warnie and mcgrath.

nothing gay about cricket!!.. stand there and have some bloke launch a rock hard ball at you at 100mph and then tell me it's gay. Tell you what is "gay" .. yanks using nasty terms like that.. can't even play rugby without getting dressed up like a load of scardey children.

only reason it was said was because the OP stated not to say it. i could care less about cricket, baseball, rugby or half of the other sports that are played world wide. i would rather play some american football, or wrestling (the only sport where you cant blame someone else on the team since you are in control of the match).

A bunch of men playing with eachother's balls...call it what you will. ;>

BTW...I hate all sports that do not require gasoline, diesel, or ethanol.

Australia is 304-5 on Day 2 of the fourth test with a first innings lead of 202, it's not looking good for the home side. Hopefully the fifth test is rained out (and Australia wins the forth), hence Australia winning The Ashes.

Win for Australia.. by an innings and 80 runs.

That makes it 1 each with 1 to play.. Looks like we are in for a good match, though on the strength of it Australia really should walk it...

How we lost the first test is still puzzling.. bad tactical errors.

With 1 to play England had dominated 2 tests and so had Australia. So it was a bit more in the balance than you thought!!!

Anyhow, well done England for another Ashes victory, a comfortable 197 run win with a day to spare :)

Another England victory? Australia has won a lot more times than england (from memory).

It was indeed another England victory - can't you remember another one?

lol, Australia is the most successful ashes country, we have the longest winning steak (8 from memory), most wickets by a single person (195, shane warne), most runs scored by a single person and we have won more ashes series than England. Kind of sad seeing though England invented cricket...

I'd rather have won 30 times rather than 16 times (sorry if that's incorrect) and be the current winning team. It's like sex, you can have a one night stand with a women, or you could have a 5 year relationship and have sex 700 times... (I know, it is a really bad comparison).
