Verbatim is the top dvdr media. According to many articles Verbatim uses a special reflectivity layer to allow lasers to read the media using the standard laser power. The same amount of power it takes to play regular compressed dvds. It works especially well for playing in Playstation 2 since the older versions have very weak lasers. The Verbatim disks, unlike other name brands are the only brand to allow the ps2 to play the disk without using any more laser power than it usually would. Other name brands usually make the ps2 use from 10-30% more laser power. And cheap no name brands that are like $0.80 a piece use about 60% more laser power. Using more laser power weakens the laser very fast. And the laser will die (especially fast if the ps2 is v1-v4. Later versions have much more power and will be fine for a much longer time.) A v7 Ps2 and verbatim dvdrs are the key to years of successfully playing backed up games.
what are you verbatim's official spokesperson-mascot? get out of here with your advertising ass!!! and im dying to know what machine you used to measure laser power percentage, since your post sounds so ridicolous, and ofcourse it seems that you ONLY use verbatim so how would you know about other brands being good?
