ya i just got an e74 error and im wondering what the best guide out there is? when googling the problem, there are a number of 3 red light fixes but since the e74 error is just 1 light, is it a different process? thanks.
99% of the time it is an issue with the ANA/HAHA chip and it will need reflowed. The best free solution would be to send it to Microsoft.

I found the best thing to do was tighten the screws until it almost snapped the mobo/chips and then apply heat, let cool and adjust screws to a 'snug' tension.
alright i just registered my xbox through the repair process on the xbox website..anyway, it said my total came up to $0.00 dollars and then i printed the shipping label just so i have things straight, do i still have to pay for shipping or since i have the label is it covered?
No, everything is pre-piad. But if your console has been tampered with or the warranty sticker has been cut/removed, they will reject your console.
ya well i baught it i guess "refurbished" on ebay.. i took off the front panel to make sure the sticker was still on it and it was so i just hope its all fine on the insides
