    For a firewall, I use Comodo. It is free and is one of the top tested firewalls at http://www.matousec.com
    You can also try Online Armor Personal Firewall 2.1.0.19 Free.

    AQVAST is the best check there website avast.com look for free home edition

    I use Avast also and think it is very good. ZoneAlarm as a firewall which is so-so but does what I want. For spyware I use Spybot Search & Destroy coupled with SuperAntiSpyware.
