I've heard that the best way to resize an avi is to use AutoGK. I have several AVI's with black bars on the side. I'd like to get rid of those. I also have several AVI's in letterbox format, but I don't like the skinny letterbox look, I like it a little more full, like with TV shows on Fox with just a little bit of black on the bottom and the top.. Will I be able to do something about both these concerns with this program and how do I get started with it? (Sorry, I'm terrible about reading instruction manuals!)
Will try that. They have a x64 edition of it too. Also...and I know that this is kind of a stupid question, but I know with software that just about anything is possible...Is there a program out there, other than VirtualDub or AutoGk, that will turn a non-Letterbox video file into Letterbox and also adjust the sizes of video file's that are already Letterbox? I thought it couldn't hurt to ask! I did a little Googling and found this page on Letterboxing but I'm unsure what program they are referring to in it: http://www.guygraphics.com/tips/letterboxing.html
I have messed around with AVIdemux bt have had only mixed results. I like the crop feature on that, but still, when I try to turn an AVI that has some black bars on the right and left sides into a letterbox looking video, the whole thing just comes out larger but not in letterbox.
