    Hi all,

I'm a newbie at this so please be patient - you may have answered this a million times already.

I recently purchased The Box - it is a genuine one (25 * 7 vents)
I am located in Waterford, Ireland and provider is C****s.
The Box details (from the System Information menu): -
    API Ver: 4.50e_E
    Boot ver: 7.0
    5.July.2007

I have input the correct C****s codes etc
    Automatic Scan finds no channels
    EMU is on
I've done a number of Factory resets

My current problem is that I can't get out of the menu - I can get back to the select language page and no further.

I've tried switching it off etc no luct.

Any ideas before I check to see if The Box can bounce?

    Thanks in advance..........

Just press OK on language and select English and continue from there.

Hi, pressing OK just brings me back in to the main menu i.e. installation, factory reset etc.

I forgot to mention that the Parental Control and the menu option below it (can't remember what it is ) are greyed-out i.e. unselectable - not sure if it is related to the exiting the menu problem.

Yes all you want to do is run an autoscan so go to installation and run an autoscan by selecting Ch**us using symbol rate 6875. This version of firmware will update the codes for you, so no need for manual input.

OK, I will try it again later today.

I have done this a number of times already each time with the same result i.e. autoscan finds no channels, I try to exit the menu etc and can get back to the language selection screen and no further.

It may be something very basic that I am doing wrong or not doing something in the right sequence - I'm not sure.

One thing are you on Ch**us true cable or Ch**us MMDS, (aerial on your roof), as it will not work with Ch**us MMDS.

Ah, then that is the problem - its C****s MMDS (aerial on roof).

Anyone want to buy a nearly new Box :)
