the box crashes and green screen appears

    just got the box and things were great ,all of a sudden it crashes with a green screen then reboots,it has done this several times in one day,i am only new to this site and hope i am posting in the right place,any ideas what to do thanks

    This is page 1 if you go to the bottom of this page you will see numbers in a box just click on number 2

    thanhs again i found it.so it might be a firmware issue?i am goin to post the api version ,can you let me know if it needs an up date it is API ver 4.5 e_E BOOT VER 7.0 9TH JULY 2007 can you help me if i need an update and how to do it thanks again

    If you have "THE B0X" Starvi*W 2 , 4.50 is for Ireland and 4.51 is for the UK

    i found the link thanks here is the firmware version.API ver 4.51e_E
    Boot ver 7.0 9th july 2007 does this need an update and how do i do that if it needs one thanks again as i am a complete newcomer to this sort of thing

    If you are in the UK 4.51 should be ok , there is a later version 4.54 but in my opinion 4.51 is more stable

    Are you in the UK if so , the 4.51 firmware you have installed is ok and you dont need to update it

    any replies please i have downloaded the box logo.bin and v4.03_051005.exe from the links is this what i need and what do i do next any help please

    thanks karljd i got both is there a tuition file on how to install these updates on the unit and thanks again i didnt see your reply last night sorry for the delay in posting back

    no problem everything you need is in eamos library under my pic just look in the starview folder

    sorry for bein a pest karljd the firmware on the box at the moment autoupdates on its own without having to get the codes if i update with 4.50 will this do the same cheers and thanks again for the help
