Just a quick note to say thanks to one & all on here re: the recent firmware fixes.
As constantly stated & reiterated on here, my main advice to people looking to find a solution is to read through the threads properly. It is all in there if you look long and hard enough; from instructions on what to do, to the all the relevant software required to perform the tasks in hand.
I have 3 SV2 boxes, with 1 being older firmware than the other 2. The 2 newer boxes flashed perfectly with the initial update released by Scouser, but the older box (firmware 4.51) came up with the 'ON' problem, commonly experienced by others on here.
Keeping an eye on the "Latest Fixes Here" thread, I noticed the fix for this was quickly added, along with the Logo file & 4.54 firmware required to perform the job.
Having flashed in the method clearly explained in the 'ReadMe' file, I again got the 'ON' signal remaining on at the end and thought it had failed to work again, until I hooked it up to the TV and found that I now had a proper signal coming thro (initially was a black screen/no signal on TV after new firmware flash). Having received a cable signal, the channel then displayed on the box display, and after emu turned on, tuned in fine.
Big pats on the back to everyone contributing to the site, and a big thank you to one & all.
    Cheers, Steve J.

Can I just ask 1 final question then - I've already 4.54 on my SV2from a year ago. Do I just unplug it from the TV, connect it to the PC and straightaway just load the new fix (8.02) OVER the 4.54 firmware or do i need to factory reset the Box?

Thanks in advance. Don't really want to make any mistakes doing this.

just make sure your box is in standby mode before you flash it.then when connected to tv do a factory reset.

Hi again mate, I saved one about a year ago and it's on my PC somewhere. When i load the fix on, do i need to do the factory reset first and then load the channel dump file back on afterwards?
