Hi, I have a box (starview 2) which has firmware version 4.0 loaded on it. With all the problems going on I'm having to manually key in the codes (after finding them!!) when they change so I tried to load version 4.51 but no matter what I try it won't work, switching it off, changing com ports etc... Has anyone else had similar problems and maybe have a fix??? I'm on N*L in K*ldare.
Are you using the correct cable? You need a NULL modem cable and not an RS232 cable. If the cable is correct, then try starting the flashing procedure with the sv turned off. Then after a couple of seconds, turn the sv back on. It might take a couple of attempts to get it right but it will work.
Thanks Topcat96. Will try later today but I believe the cable I have is a NULL modem cable or at least it's the cable that came with the box so I presume it's right. Anyway, once I try I'll respond whether successful or not.
