The box, Help channels gone, I might have to read a book.

Can any body help PLEASE.
I have a Star view the box.
info: API ver:4.50e_E, Boot Ver:7.0, 5th July 2007.

When I go to the Channel guide all the station information is there but when I select it nothing comes up but data is being updated, it then starts to update but gets to around 150% or so and then goes back to zero and stops, I have tried this on many channels eg. sky1, bbc1, discovery ect.. but still no joy. I have read many threads and tried different ways eg turn off at the mains ect, key in 1570 then turn emu key off then back on, nothing is working.
Any ideas, does this mean I have to start paying for my TV.
