The box keeps freezing green squares

Hi i have a starview the box the problem is it keeps freezing also reboots itself.wont turn off it just crashes .This has hapend about 3 4 times over the last few months. But up to now i have got it on after allot of messing. when i flash it it take a few goes to get to the 100% on finding channels because it crashes.I have other box's that i flash so i now it is not the software.Is it time to put in the bin many thanks soll.

 

Try this method

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

Reflash it again


English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

 

Thanks for that i will give it a go although whilst i was in the garden i left the box switched on when i came in it was on but it if it goes off which no doubt it will i will try you're method.I will let you know how i get on today.Thanks again soll

 

Thanks for that yes it crashed again so tried your way and when i automatic scan it it just crashes back to the picture the box at 20%. Then went blank and had to turn of at the back.which is what happened before so no different.Then i tried again and it found all channels at 100% and turned on emu exit and it came straight on all channels. But this is what keeps happening . It has been on for about 1 hour and not crashed .Thanks for your advice i will let you no if it stays on but don't hold much hope off that thanks soll

 

I had the same problem as you i had thats problem for at least 4 days maybe more cant remember i done evrything reflashed done a system restore you name it done it . open it up to see if maybe the C11 had fried . I could possibly be a hardware fault rather than a software fault getting a guy to give my a once over he recons he can get it going . if i get any joy will let you know what the cause is .

O yes just as i posted it crashed then come one sound but picture was froze then keeps coming on then crashes again about 10 times and now stuck on the picture the box and wont do anything then its got little pix elating squares then pink lines all over it then i turn it of at the back and on comes on but froze and goes off and on and of and on of and on

 

Can you tell me what update you loaded on to it and if you are in UK or Ireland ?

I think thats the problem with mine . I have gave my sv to a guy my end to check over, if and when i get it back i will let you know the result . yes you can fix it you have to replace the C11 dont ask me how I think there is info on one of the thread on how to do it . You can buy them from fleabay or mapln .

You can try flash it with 4.54e_E and see if that helps

 

My box is currently running at a level of 8% and Quality of 8%. How do i boost the signal or is it due to my service from NtHell dublin.

Hi just flashed with 454ee and on scanning channels it just crashes thanks for advice but still the same cheers soll.

 

Just had a word with someone on fleebay about fixing the box explained to him what was happening with my box and he said it sounded like i had a clone starview 2 THE BOX and to put Aprils update on it and alls it will miss is the box logo on it low and behold it came straight on had it on about half of an hour . Does any one now how to identify a starview 2 the box clone just to be sure it is one. Thanks soll

 

No good box playing up again time to get rid i think.
