Are you sure you have the loop connected to the right tuners. Have a look at the Starview PVR Folder, in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post. Compiled by Jbvideo.

    Hi
It seems like you may have a signal strength problem when trying to use both tuners, one way to test this is to use a splitter or fit a splitter if you don't have one in the line, then feed both tuners from the splitter after removing the loop cable. The problem with twin tuners cabled up with a loop is signal loss after going through the first tuner, hence the second tuner can give probs with recording and viewing. If this solves you problem look at the quality of your cable and keep lengths as short as possible between box and suppliers wall socket, no joins.

    Hi
If you mean me (jbvid) I HAVE found your problem, either get rid of all those extra links cables, splitters etc or have a crap signal at the end of it all. Might be worth borrowing a booster but I don't recommend boosters never heard a good story about one yet. They all end up taking them back to Argos.

You could always put the pvr upstaires on the first feed for recording then see if the DBox 2 will work at the end of the line for viewing.

Hi the dbox does work on the downstairs cable,it belongs to my teenage son who would not appreciate me popping in and out his sanctuary to set the pvr .I,ll just cut my losses and put it down to experience.Maybe the seller might give me a refund and i might buy the normal the box and get pi**ed with the money thats left.Cheers, Lotto.
