It states in the description for the Box PVR - Twin Tuner that you can insatll a hard drive or conect an external Hard drive via USB. Does this have to be a powered external drive or will a 2.5" USB powered drive work. Anyone got a picture of the connections at the back of the box or know a link to where I can see the connections. Hi The Starview PVR's software will only allow recording to an internally fitted H/D, or scart out. The USB connection can only be used to connect to a PC's hard drive for updateing F/W and copying files between PC and Starview.(Not recording) Don't have pics but the USB socket on the back is female and the larger of the two types. If you google 'Starview PVR', look @ 5th one down beginning with wiz you can scroll down & select a large image of the rear. jbvid

Hi Ok go for it then, but it wont record to an external H/D via USB. Better still ask them, as it doesn't mention recording, it just says it needs IDE 7200 HD, or External via USB. It also says this : usb 2.0 for easy and simple data transfer. jbvid
