Hi After getting the The BOx up and running but when I do a autoscan on my network it only finds 29 channels and when I try to turn on EMU in the hidden menu I cannot see it. Also the channels that it did find are extra ones but it did not find any of the channels that I used to hav before I got the box. Should I not be getting about 100 channels or more? Am I doing somthing wrong or need to pick a different option?
Hi You should be getting 200+ Are any of the 29 chans you have encrypted ones and if so are they clearing? if yes the emu/autoupdate must be on.If you have the latest firmware in the box pvr goto Menu/System Setup/Press ok on parental Contol/Press i then 2007, Auto update (bottom item) is the emu an should be on. I'm sure iv'e been down this road with you before with these answers. If you only have a few channels after a scan you either have the wrong Cable Network provider selected in the installation menu or a Crap signal on your Cable supply line. Is the box new? Have you had a Cable box working on this cable line previously? jbvid
Hi Yes some of the ones are encrypted because they hav the $ beside them but when u go to Menu/System Setup/Press ok on parental Contol/Press i then 2007 there is no EMU option. I hav picked my right network provider and The Box is only new. I used hav a cable box working on the line before so the signal is not crap. Also it is not picking up any of the channels that I used to hav before I got the box (eg Sky one and any of the BBC channels)
Hi First of all you have not digested my last post or anwered if any the channels you have are clearing. There is NO emu option to switch on, Auto update (bottom item in the Cas Menu is the emu)and needs to be on. Ok we will start again. What software do you have installed at present? to find out goto Menu/System Setup/System Information and tell me what version it says below The Box PVR in yellow. When you go to Menu/System Setup/Press ok on parental Contol/Press i then 2007 you should be in the 'Cas system' menu with 6 selection boxes. Seca, Viaccess 1,2, Irdeto/Betacrypt/Nagravision 1.2, Conax, Auto Update Option. Tell me if you get this menu?. john
