THE BOX PVR

    Really sorry guys if this is obvious, but what firmware can I use for "the Box PVR?" Can I use the Starview 3 firware to sort the latest issue with Autoupdates.

    No, you can't mix firmwares between different STB's.
    To find your present Software version press Menu/System Setup/System Information. For the latest but not fixed yet AFAIK you need v4.506 Oct for the PVR.

    Its not new but use the link below if you need it & Goto the TheBox PVR Folder for F/W and Documentation Folder for How too's

    Thanks a lot jbvid. i wasn't sure if there would be a firmware release for "The Box PVR." So basically I just need to wait for the new release? thanks again

    I am waiting for firmware for this also.

    Out of curiousity, are these boxes popular? as I don't ever see a huge amount of talk about them on here, but the box is amazing, I love it.

    Well done to the guys working away and getting the firmware out for all the boxes.

    These boxes don't get brilliant reviews, plus the company who wrote the code for these boxes disappeared. I have real problems when recording, I find it's rather hit and miss as a PVR.

    So which is regarded as the best PVR decoder box on the market?

    And anyone who says sky+ gets a kick in the knac#ers!!! LOL
