Hi All, My starview 3 just arrived, unfortunately I am getting 0 channels found, I am still waiting on the my null modem cable so am unable to flash the box. The firmware already looks like a hacked version as it's a refurb. When choosing manual scan I can choose N*L but scanning shows nothing. Can anyone confirm the below firmware is good? The BOX Super API ver : 6.01e_E Boot ver : 8.0 7. Mar. 2008 Thanks in advance
Do a factory reset, & after the auto scan press menu > 1570 & turn your emu on & exit back to channels. The 6.01 firmw@re is ok.
I reset factory settings by entering 0000 and hit okay, rescanned but still found nothing unfortunately. NTL did say that there was no digital on my street, so could it be possible that the line in analogue only?
I cant seem to get into parental controls or channel edit either, gonna try it in a mates gaf, if no joy there I will re-flash it. Cheers
I have a friend down the road who has digital but the service is rubbish. I thought there was a chance they werent taking on any more customers due to this, wasnt the NTL digital upgrade in Dublin supposed to be completed years ago? Anyway, I guess I will have to stick to sky, thanks for the help
I'm out in cornelscourt, I tried the box in a mates that definitely has ntl digital box but still no joy. It picked up 9 channels but they were bad/scrambled. I did a reset with the same result, the weird thing is that I can't seem to access the emu settings by pressing menu 1570, I get no secret menu and the parental control settings and edit channels menus locked out. They appear in green and faded out Sorry for the all the questions guys, yez must be sick of these type of threads. Thanks Again
if u cant access emu box is not flashed, only freeview firmware only. or might need a new flash as i have flashed a box and no channels found with 4 scans, reflashed from another pc and everything worked.
hi just got my new box but it has not been flashed .can any one tell me how to do this as i have never done it before . it is the box super thanks jim
