i have two different 'starview 3 the box super' and was wondering if anyone could tell me which is the clone? they look almost identical except one has an s-video connection and 4 coax connections on the back and the other has no s-video connection and only 2 coax connections. the one without the s-video connection is the one i got when the box super first came out so i presume that would be the real one but would appreciate if someone could confirm this, thanks.

Well jim, I have the box now since it came out and my one has only 2 scart conections, and no s-video connections, I believe another way to tell if its a clone is if you try and look inside you will find red paint on the top of the screws.

super box hasnt been cloned to the best of my knowledge, what you are seeing there is some models came with S vid and some didnt, same with the outputs on the box, some had em and some didnt, so I think the title of your thread is a bit of scaremongering, dont ya think?

the one with s-video and 4 coax connections is a clone and the other is genuine. it was cloned 3 weeks after release.

all boxes are either blank with cd or freeview only u need to reflash to upgrade.u might pick up more channel numbers in list but some might be just blank,u can only pick up the amount of channels supplied by cc.
