Someone help me! iv just bought a starview 3 today. Was given the software info to download, but when i try, it comes up as flash update fail! I used the cable that was supplied with the box. It wont download. Please dont blind me with science, im a female here and finding it pretty difficult to do. been trying with this damn box for 4 hours now. My mum has a box super that had the software already installed. (few months old) Is it possible i can copy their software? if so how? help would be GREATLY appreciated, im tearing my hair out!
calm down calm down!connect your null modem cable to the two boxes,turn the box without the firmware away from the remote,press menu-user set up -s/w transfer-ok-code software-ok and your mum's box should send the firmware to yours,then follow the guide under my pic for scanning the channels.
Ok, i sort of get that bit about the transferring the data, got to go down my mums now. but the scanning the channels instructions are not on anywhere in your instructions. the downloading info is the stuff i cant download, and the other 2 bits are about the type of cable i need. Told you i was stupid! cant i pay someone to do this for me????? Do i just transfer my mums existing softward to mine, then come home and scan channels?

wow !! how do you guys know all this?? clever clogs. lol. right im off to trek down my mums, box in hand after scratching my head and looking at this computer screen for the past 4 hours. ill let you know if i get to watch any tv tonight! thank you fingers crossed....
