Hi people - hoping for some help here...

I bought the Box Super (star view 3) recently but can't seem to get it to find any channels. I live in Laois area and have Chorus digital. I have had a good look over lots of other threads and in particular the guide by celtic71 but am having no luck.

My box is a genuine box as it has 25 x 7 vents on top and two scart connections on the back and i also have a USB Adapter which im using connected to the null modem cable which came in the box. I have installed the driver for the cable onto my laptop and reassigned my COM port from No. 7 to No.2.

I downloaded the 7.09 fireware onto the box but it can't find any channels when searching. After much head scratching and retrying and retrying various steps i still can't find any channels. I have search all the different cable providers separately but it i finds nothing...

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks

Also, do a factory reset, autoscan on your provider, Turn emu on after scan.

Guys, cheers for the quick replies.

DesB, I downloaded 6.01 from you sig, installed it onto the box and ran a search with Chorus set as my provider and still nothing.

Noelyf, a factory reset, another autoscan and the emu then turned off still results in 0 programs found.

    What am i doing wrong?

    Turn the emu ON
Go to "set default key" Exit back to channels & see what happens.

I think i have them correct way around. I simply remove the cable from the back of the chorus box and plug it into the star view...

The null modem connected was still connected because different software was installed DesB recommendation above.

Yeah its ch**us cable - its digital max but how can i double double check? The reason i bought the star view 3 was because a mate (who off on hoildays at moments) over the road has the star view 2. Star view 2 wasn't available when i bought mine...

Try scanning on a different provider & see if you pick up any channels.

when you say you remove the cable from the back of the chors box what do you mean?
would you not run a coax from the box into the starview as there is a booster in the box.... try and seee!

I hope the below picutre helps. This is my standard set up when watching ch*rus. There are two cables into the back of the ch*rus box. The one on the right (with blue tip - labeled RF IN) leads back to the big black box which goes back out through the wall. the other (with yellow tip - labbled RF OUT) goes back to the white socket on the wall.

I've been taking the blue cable out of the ch*rus box and putting it into the star view. Have also tried the yellow one but this makes not difference.
