The Box Super help please

Hi all

just new to forum and not exactly a techie so please bear with me
I have recently purchased the Box Super but can't get it to work as when I try to auto scan it doesn't find any channels. I have tried inputting codes manually, have set / reset EMU and done the whole menu 1570 thing but no joy.

I have had no problems with the original st**view boxes but this one has got me well and truly beaten.

I got it for my son for his birthday so feel a bit rotten but can't really afford to get another one.

I have looked at other threads and tried a number of suggestions but no joy as no matter what I try doesn't seem to work. I did have it going at one point but couldn't set channels in any order and they jumped around 'unprompted.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it

if you can access the cas menu it must be preflashed can you press menu system info and see what it says

have you your coaxil plugged into the cable input on the box?have you your scart connected to the tv scart on the box and not the vcr?and is the connection split i think it may be a cc problem

 

Hi again and thanks for bearing with me,

I'm pretty confident that everything as it should be.I have an older version st**view in my living room and this one is for my sons bedroom so I have swapped boxes around - the connections are as you have described. The older version works OK in son's room & living room but the 'super' not working in either. Getting internet OK in son's room as well so don't think it is a 'signal problem'.

I think the best solution is a factory reset and then flash your box with the 7.05 latest, this should sort you:

Brilliant...that seems to have done the trick - to a certain extent !! I can now access channels though the only thing is I can't get them sorted into any order using the remote. For instance if I try and sort them into any sort of order I can't get the channel number to go to number 1, 2 , 3 etc as it 'starts at 101 with about a dozen channels having this number.

If I use the number keys on the remote to look for a channel it stays at the same channel and I can only move to other channels one at a time using the scroll arrows or by using the OK button and going into the channel list.

Sure my son can live with that though but if any advice on how to sort this glitch then that'd be great

If you updated to 7.05 , the best bet now is a factory setting and fresh installtion, unfortunally thats the way that b0x works and ch@nnels do start at 101 (Basic Ch) , 201 , (Entertain ) , 301 (Movies) etc , they are sorted out like the N*L digital box for you


Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

Hey sorry bother anyone but i done all of the above and i still keep getting 0 progs found???

The box was working b4 so we have the connectiona dn all can anyone help it wud be greatly appreciated

 

when you say The Box, which box have you as the above is ONLY for the Super 3 box,

And make sure that all connections are pushed in fully into the correct inputs/outputs

hello sorry about this but i've only just got a box super and channel4 was gone with a few other channels so i tryed to fix it and ended up with only rte1 and 2 thd tv 3 no other ones work they did work when i got it but they still come up on the channel and say whars on but then info comes up with scrambled or bad channel on it all help wecome doing my nut

 

factory reset 0000 to delete,autoscan again and when finished exit out,-menu-1570 key emu to on and exit out.
