hi just got a box super for my brother who lives in tippereary and he rang and told me it just has a blank screen. he is connected to chor*s and says the wire is in fully. the emu is turned on it and it has been left on sky sports to upload but just stays on black screen. any help.
Depends on what part of Tipp. Some parts are Ch**us MMDS and there are even analogue only areas in that neck of the woods.
well they have the sagem chorus box if thats any good. have no sign of having mmds no aerial or powr inverter at back any other way of knowing for sure. could you tell what parts have analogue and what that means?
done that.. says there says nothin under it.. just a few numbers. how can you tell if its analogue. more likely that now is it..
Hard enough without been there If you can tell me where it is, (nearest town), I would have a better idea. What firmware did he use?
he said its near the cashel road if ya no that area? is there ways of knowing its analogue though..? i cant find out right now what firmware i was but was just flashed yesterday in cork and worked perfect.
Always thought it was MMDS out there, but as you say there is no power insertor so cant be. Without looking at if its analogue cable or not. You say it came from Cork flashed, did he do a factory reset, turn key emu and rescan on his provider? As areas differ somewhat.
hi sorry took so long to get back got hold of information on that box... it has itd ch252164698-b 01 on it. whats this mean...?
an will he have to do that factory reset thing if it is set up here again or is that only a last resort??
If its a Digivox T use 3.200T firmware. Make sure key emu is on also. But best thing to do is scan on provider when it is at their house.
mission failed!! got a loan of a digivox t today dropped it up to clonmel and all. but no joy.. wire is plugged in at back, emu is on. got it from cork tried it here worked perfect.. then tried factory reset and installation again but no channels have been found..
Sorry didn't know it was for Clonmel. Although everything points to MMDS, a lot of people with different types of boxes have failed to get them working there. If it a communal MMDS feed (even analogue) it should still pick up channels as MMDS differs. You could try different frequencies manually to see what you can pick up. But as said I have seen many people with this problem. Does the subbed box work OK?
whats a subbed box...? how do i try these anual frequencies in detail if possible.. thanks once again
The subbed box is where he read the label from. Seen your other thread hopefully someone in Clonmel has a working box and can shed some light on it for you. Regards a manual search, just go to user installation, 6875 with already be the default symbol rate for the T type box. You can manually input frequency rates say starting at 200.00Mhz and work you way up. Long and tedious process that as said may not work. As I don't have a Digivox T, I cannot tell you the exact procedure. Hopefully as said another member from that area has got a working box and can help out, apologies.
