I bought a box super a few days ago and I have downloaded program 6.00 onto it but when I try to find the channels it keeps sayin failed. Can someone please help me??
That version of firmware is the first version released, try anything up from that, if you are in Irelend flash with the 7.09 beta, if UK try the 8.00. Then make sure that you have a live cable feed into the cable input and that you have chosen your correct provider, if you do not then it will always come back with 0 programs. Very true malci, sometimes we overlook the basics. As malci said, make sure you have the cable fed into the 'cable input' port and not the 'ant in'. I'm in Ireland and I find f/w ver 8.0 to be more stable than ver 7, on the rare occasion ver 7 can cause some boxes to power off intermittantly. The only thing with 8.0 is the autoscan mightn't pick up rte1 and rte2 (only relevant if you are in ireland). To pick these up you will need to do a manual scan with 'down freq' set to 339.500 and 'network scan' set to enable.
Thanks a million people. Ya I'm in galway in ireland. I'll try ver 8.0 over the weekend so and if it doesn't work I'll get back to ye next week. Just wondering flashing the box with ver 8.0, what does that mean exactly? Do i just do it the same way I put on the 6.0 version ya? Thanks again for the help
