hi all ,wondering can u help me out here?when i bought my the box off the local lad couple of years ago it worked fine till lately until the changes in nagra and there getting deleted one by one every so often he called today well yeaterday now with this black box and said this will work and u ll have all the channels u missed .is the firmware downloadable easily like i did to update my other box .can anyone tell me if its a good idea buying it please thank you . and now my second problem if i was to but a technomate box and hook it up to my sly dish could i find the firmware or whatever its called here on this site and what would be the best model as well. or is it too much hassle really dont know much bout that kinda thing what would be your advice about this situation and please can speak it in english as im hopeless understanding all the technical side of things sorry
If you hook a technomate box up to a sky dish you will get nothing more than the free to air stuff. Even after patching you will only be able to put a official card into the box and receive the stuff you pay for. Each month though the card would need to be put back into an official box to update. If you want free stuff with a technomate box you need to get a bigger dish and swing it round to 1 deg west. Digi tv package is open currently.
