Not sure if you should be getting more channels for that area. Turn you key emu on, press menu, type 1570 on remote and enable it. If you cannot get into it, you will need to flash the box.

Hi sc0user, when you mention 70 channels in that area, is there a list some-where of what area's get what channels ? I know a friend of mine gets around 140ish I think on a starview3 in cork, wondering how many channels would mmds in cork get ?

Cable is always around that mark. MMDS differ from Ch**us and N** areas dependent upon location. Should be getting in the high 80s in Cork on MMDS.

Approx the same, MMDs doresnt carry the same amount of channels due to its linitations, whereas true cable carrys the full amount of available channels, which is apporx 140. Most people on MMDs get up to about 90 channels, depending on what the provider is sending.

Whenever you want its the emulator, if you cant see it you need to flash the Box T.

To update a Genuine SV , you will need 3 things first .

    1. A Null Modem Cable (9 pin female to 9 pin female)
    2. GT Rom Loader (Software)
    3. Firmware

firmware below can be downloaded below , thanks to Eamo.
    Eamo's SV Library
    http://eko.4shared.com/

once there go to the starview section and click it, there is a tutorial on how to upload, the firmware is in the box t section

Guess you cannot get into the menu, so its not flashed. Easy enough to do.

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    Null Modem Cable

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

You will need the Box T firmware and loader you will find them in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post.

sorry for the double post, but this will help ya

    Updating Firmw@re

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starvi*w does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click b1n File & browse to the firmw@re where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase then Download completed message on your PC.

Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE p0p up on your PC before removing the NULL MODEM CABLE.

    The Starvi*w will then reboot

Disconnect from PC and connect back up to the TV :)
