hey noobie here,i just got one of these "box T" and i cant seem to get it up and runnin!!!does anybody know do u have to download stuff from the net b4 u can get goin???if so where help please???thanks

sorry but i am more or less a comp dummy and dont understand the mumbo jumbo...lol....all i can get on it is rte1 and the rest it says "scrambled or bad channel",thanks
Have you flashed it yet? if so press menu then 1570 turn EMU ON then exit back the channels, go to sly sports and it should say updating data% and it will cick iN!

when i press menu all that comes up is a choice between installation, parental control, channel edit, user set up,factory setting, system info...and 1570 has no effect...sorry bout double postin
Ok thats fine it just tells us that the box hasnt been flashed.. right, now you need to connect it to a PC using a Null Modem cable, can you do this?
i cant because the lead has the same end (female)on both if ya know wat i mean and my laptop cant accomadate it
well bud theres nothing you can do until you either get the correct lead, or borrow one from a mate, or could you try it on a desktop PC?

If you get a USB adaptor: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...t10&doy=search&MenuName=USB to Serial Adaptor You will be able to do it, Not sure if theres a Maplins in Cork,but some good electrical shop will have it!
hey tis only meself...got the adaptor now and wondering where i go from here,,,was in connect with the seller and they said u have to download "the box T loader" and "the boxT software" any ideas where to go from here??
right so i downloaded the box t folder thanking you and now wat do i do with it...lol.i aint very good at this sorta ting.....thanks
soz now..but when i try to open file after downloadin it says "press ok to burn image C/users/mike/desktop/the boxt v1 api.bin to driveE:/-TSSTcorpVD+-TS-L632h"
HI DesB, ive done everything you said to download the firmware but when it get to 0% it goes no further and says file error or something like that , any suggestions thanks ger.
