I presume you have only got this Starview. Go to the end of my post marked Starview Info Dooby2oon, click on the link, then click clones. Tell me if you have a clone or a genuine box.

Sorry are you taking about a Starview 2, called "The Box"?

 

I can get you up and running for now, but you will need to update the firmware eventually.

 

you need to update you can't get it to work temp sc0user.the box firmware 2.60 doesn't allow you to enter the secret menu so you can't put the codes in by hand.

 

thought it was 2.58. 2.60 was the original clone killer

 

starview firmware 2.58 = no access to cas menu

sorry if i am getting it confused but has he/she a starview or the box

 

i dont know all it says is the box digital reciever on the box it came in i bought it from starview

 

on the front panel what way do the buttons look

circle = the box

straight line = starview

As Ryan said you need to update the firmware. There are two differwnt versions one for the UK and one for Ireland. You can find these in the link marked Eamos Library, you will need the gtload from the starview software section also.

You need a null modem cable also.

update on unlocking channels on the box gave it to a mate to sort out now works brill he did not want to give it back thanks all
