Hi guys, I know your probably fed up of people saying this but.. I just got myself a starview 2 'the box' I have no clue what to do with it, I scanned for programs but most are coming up bad signal or scrambled on the channel. Is there some thing I need to do to set it up? any help you guys could give would be gratefully received, preferably a list on how to set it up from the time I take it out of the box lol I hope some one can help Many thanks for your time.
Tyr this first Menu > Factory Setting PIN 0000 OK to delete English > Installation Choose N*L Automatic Scan Press OK 176 Channels found Exit Menu 1570 Turn EMU key ON Exit , exit , exit
Many thanks for your help so far, was with you up untill the menu 1570 thing? then you lost me lol (sorry) how do i find the EMU key?
When you press Menu then 1570 , do you get into the CAS SYSTEM ? If not press MENU , and go down to System Information and let me know what api is installed and we take it from there
Hello again, no if I press menu and type in 1570 nothing happens. When I go to system information it say: THE BOX API ver :206 Boot ver : 7.0 9.Apr 2007
Ok , the reason you cant access the CAS menu is cos you have 2.60 installed You will need to update your box with the latest firmware Have you got a null modem cable (9pin female to 9pin female)
To update THE B0X, you will need 3 things first . 1. A Null Modem Cable (9 pin female to 9 pin female) 2. GT Rom Loader (Software) 3. latest .bin file (Firmware) Number 1 , either you got it with your SV or you will have to buy it Number 2 and 3 can be downloaded below , thanks to Eamo. Eamo's SV Library http://eko.4shared.com/ Are you in the UK or Ireland because there is different firmware for "THE B0X"
Hi Yes it came with a 9 pin lead but it didnt come with any software where can I find the firmware and is it easy to install I am so sorry to be a pain and I am very gratefull for all your help you have been brilliant so far
Celt must be detained for a while You can go to the eko link Celt gave you and download the 4.51 UK version. It is in "The Box" firmware section. GTrom V4 can be found in the Starview Software folder.
Ok sorry for the delay had a slight problem as my laptop had no port for the cable but got a desktop and updated it all works great now, cant thank you enough you guys are geniuses Thank you very very much And a big thank you to Eamo for the software
