   Also, sorry if i seem a bit dumb about this but when you say a normal cat5 wont work on the cable, what about if it ses...UTP CAT.5E iso/iec?

   what are you trying to do.
   If you want to hook the Xbox to the PC then a Cat5 cable is what you want.
